Spam is defined as repeated, unwanted actions that affect other accounts. This often means a flood of bad content.
Fernandez said Russia tried to disrupt the 2024 US presidential election. They wanted to cause division using many accounts. These accounts tried to flood the platform with specific narratives.
X has faced criticism over content moderation. This started after Elon Musk bought the platform in 2022. It was then called Twitter. For example, in the UK, the platform shared controversial speculation. This happened after a stabbing incident in Southport.
