Spotify, the music and podcast streaming service, is launching a new feature called "SongDNA" globally. This is a trial feature just for Premium subscribers. It lets users explore the "complex web of people and creative links behind the music you love.".
With "SongDNA," you can learn about everyone involved in making a song. This includes writers, producers, sound samples, and even music quotes.
The feature also shows covers of the song made by other singers. This gives a full picture of the song's creative journey, according to Neowin, a tech news site. العربية Business also saw the report.
Unlike a normal list of contributors, this feature helps you dive deep into the connections between different artists and their work. It covers many music genres and time periods.
You can find this feature in the "Now Playing" view. It looks like an interactive map of connections.
When you tap the "SongDNA" card for a song that supports it, you will see a list of all collaborators. From there, you can tap a producer's name to see other artists they worked with. Then, you can tap those artists to see who they worked with.
However, not all songs work with this new feature. Spotify said artists and bands can choose how to share their music story. They can do this directly on the "Spotify for Artists" platform.
The "SongDNA" feature is like "About this Song." That is another feature for Premium members. Spotify launched it last month. It gives background details and stories behind songs.
