Finland's Aura company has a new feature for its smart ring. It relates to women's reproductive health. It considers hormonal birth control when tracking menstrual cycles.
This update is called "Hormonal Birth Control." It is a unique experience within Aura's "Cycle Insights" feature. It lets users see how over 20 types of hormonal birth control affect their body data.
The feature will be available globally from May 6. It shows how hormonal birth control impacts temperature, sleep, and recovery patterns. It helps users track bleeding and symptoms over time.
This data can show how body signals change. It highlights differences between days with and without hormones. This makes it easier for women to see their "normal" cycle. It also helps spot unexpected health issues.
The Aura ring already gives info on periods and pregnancy. It also predicts fertile days.
