A video shows a humanoid robot running fast in a race. It then hits a wall and breaks apart. The robot catches fire in an amazing scene.
The robot was not good at slowing down. It ran past the finish line very fast. The long-legged robot kept going and hit a padded wall.
The robot fell backward. It tried hard to stand up with quick steps. Then it fell on its head. The impact sent power to its hip. The hip exploded with sparks. This was reported by Futurism, a tech news site.

The video seems to show the robot exploding at the waist. The audience gasped in sympathy.
The video spread online. Some people thought it was AI-generated. But, videos from different angles show the crash. Futurism could not check the video's truth fully.
RoboCup Humanoid League
Last year, China's Unitree robot company did well. Their robot G1 went viral for funny stunts. The company won four gold medals. This included the 100m race.
Unitree is joining this year with a new robot. It is called 'Superman'. They say it can run faster than Usain Bolt. It can also jump higher than any person.
But this robot also had a problem. It hit an electrical box after the finish line. It fell on its rear during practice.
This year, the race has a big change. Robots must race fully on their own. They will not be remote-controlled. Robot industry analyst Eran Chen said this on X.
